Projects
What I love most about the community is that we can find expression in it for our desires, for the things we want to do, for the things that are important to us and that we see value in.
Suddenly it's possible to translate this into action .
Sorry for the question Ashkelon
The beloved and valuable program of Kan 11 - Only in reality. In the "Sorry for the Question" evenings on various topics, we assembled a diverse panel of participants and prepared questions in advance, questions that are not customary to ask and for which we would like to receive an answer. We held evenings on the topics of racism, feminism and pride.
Shabbat Kabbalot - "You're welcome" Netanya
We wanted to create a meaningful meeting between residents of Netanya around our shared culture, art, and social content. We understood that accepting Shabbat entails all of these.
We built a tradition of young and alternative Shabbat receptions, which included discussion circles, performances by well-known artists, and reading a poem together in honor of the upcoming Shabbat.
It's become a permanent tradition, people are thirsty for encounters, for art, for culture - and we managed to create a suitable platform for this.
"The Cooperative" - Karmiel Cooperative Warehouse
In the past year, we have established and are operating a cooperative warehouse that serves all residents of the city. The warehouse has tools, gardening supplies, and other products that people need on a daily basis but are not always found in every home. The warehouse embodies the values of community, mutual aid, and community solidarity.
Connecting in the Negev
Ramat Negev and Bir Hadag
In order to build acquaintances and connections between the young people of Ramat Negev and the young people of Bir Hadag, we are conducting initiatives of connections and meetings. We have held women's meetings, "Ramadan Nights" meetings, and a hospitality project during the World Cup. The meetings expand and deepen the circles of connections between us through experience, conversation, and acquaintance.
The Shkodil
Tel Aviv
Soccer in South Tel Aviv has a deeper meaning than just another sporting game. We initiated and organized the Shkondiel and Shkondiella, community soccer tournaments between young men and women in the neighborhoods of the city's south. It was an electrifying, connecting and fun experience for everyone and we see this as the start of a tradition.
The Station Pub
Lod
As a community, we understood that our common need, and that of many young people in the city, was for places to hang out in the city. We established a community pub in collaboration with the youth center and the municipality. The place was open every Thursday and we held events of all kinds.
The place became a major entertainment hub in the city and for visitors from outside the city, leading to the opening of more entertainment businesses.
Kits from the community in love - Ofakim
Whether you are a couple, a family or a group of friends, the coronavirus has brought with it an opportunity to come together and dedicate more time to our important relationships. We have chosen a game for you that is suitable for all ages and all groups – which is entirely a donation to the "Small Steps" association that works for children with muscular dystrophy – so that we are not the only ones enjoying it.
And beer because how can you have quality time without it :)
Selichot Tours
Bat Yam
We organized the tours to illuminate the neighborhood with colorful colors and enhance its ethnic-cultural richness, while connecting to the roots of the neighborhood and our community. The tour passes through the neighborhood's magical corners, the synagogues of the various ethnic groups, the neighborhood's veterans' homes, the alleys, and most importantly, through the stories that the neighborhood treasures within it, creating an authentic, exciting, and empowering experience.
Festival of Lights
Together, Jerusalem
The biggest event of the year is the Festival of Lights, where we celebrate together Hanukkah, Christmas, and the birth of the Prophet Muhammad.
The most significant ceremony is the choir - the boys and girls of the community sing together in 3 languages: Christmas songs, Hanukkah, and a song related to the Muslim holiday.
At the end, the adults join in and everyone sings together the song "Imagine" by John Lennon, which talks about a world of peace and brotherhood.
